Choices’ Timber Storm windows are a high performance casement window available as side hung or top hung with the option of glazing bars to create classic designs.
Hung on friction hinges with a choice of traditional furniture, ‘Choices’ Timber Storm windows come with internal decorative mouldings on both sash and frame to enhance appearance.

Independently tested and accredited to BS6375 Part 1 & 2. Meets the criteria to achieve Trada High Performance Timber Window Scheme.
Dual weather strip for improved weather and thermal performance.
‘A’ BFRC window energy rating is available as an option.
‘A’ rated on the BRE Green guide.
CE marked – EN 14351-1.
Security
Independently tested and accredited to PAS 24 meeting the requirements of Secured by Design – offered as an option.
Colour
Default colour – Traffic White RAL 9016
Standard Choices stains – Mahogany, Cypress Light Oak & Teak.
Optional – Any RAL colour can be provided.
Factory Finish
All products are sold fully factory finished. They are treated with an organic preservative after all machining to ensure complete protection across all faces.
All Choices coatings are water based, therefore, environmentally friendly. After basecoat, components have end grain sealer applied. Opaque colours use stain blocking primer. Top coats are high build breather paints.

Glazing rebates 46x18mm.
28mm Softcoat ‘Low E’ argon filled double glazed units (4/20/4) Triple glazed units (4/8/4/8/4).
Sealed units manufactured to BSEN1279. Specialist glazing can be fitted on request.
Standard spacer bars – Silver.
Optional spacer bars – White, Gold, Bronze or for thermal efficiency, Black Swiss V.
As standard, fully drained and vented timber bottom bead (Alloy optional) with timber beads to top and sides.
Beading secured by ‘Choices’ fixing system.
All windows are security glazed to meet the requirements of PAS24.
Bonded glazing bars – 25, 40, 56mm.

A range of leaded designs are available.

Hinges
Steel adjustable friction hinges, allow opening to 60°.
Optional – Restrictor available to limit initial opening to under 100mm in accordance with BS8213 Part 1. Egress hinge which allows opening to 90° meets regulations for emergency access.
Handles and locks
Standard – Espangnolette locking system with lockable handles, default white. Also available in Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome, Gold, Brown and Black.
Optional – Black Monkey Tail handles.
Ventilators
Vents are concealed within the frame head, eliminating the need for an unsightly and vulnerable external hood.
Standard (plastic) – XS16 or Trykvent White or Brown.
Optional (Aluminium) – TV90. White, Brown, Polished Chrome, Gold, or SAA.
All comply with current UK building regulations.
